Ceren Ünal is an Ankara based artist primarily focusing on mixed media and digital. Along with acrylics and charcoal, Ceren started working on digital paintings and illustrations in the late 90s, when options were quite primitive. She likes to experiment with shapes and colors, and challenging traditional art forms like marbling art and shamanic symbols, while still being very much inspired by them. Also an IT lawyer and digital rights activist on the side, Ceren has always been fascinated by technology and through illustration, pixellating and bending patterns digitally she aims to create bold colorful pieces to reflect her many existential crises, and her hopeless optimism.
